Here are just some photos of animals, insects, birds etc that we have seen at or near the cottage. The cottage is located in a rual area of Brittany that does not employ intensive farming practices, which means there is still plenty of space in the woods, copses, field edges, and riversides for wildlife.

We have over an acre of garden, so have chosen to let the rear garden revert make to a heathland habitat, except for some mown pathways. Since we bought the property a few years ago, we have already seen many oak, chestnut, hazel, elder and broom naturalise in this area. This now a haven for wild birds, insects and animals.

We have also seen Otters and Kingfishers at the river bridge in Moulin de Penroc, a couple of minutes walk from the cottage.

Other wildlike seen, but no so easily photographed include Kestrels, fox, owl, and cookoo.

If you stay at the cottage and manage to photograph something interesting let me have a copy and I will add it to this collection.
